Since 1922 the Fong family has been bringing the taste of the Far East to generations
of Nova Scotians. What we create within these walls is a unique mix of flavours and
tastes that Nova Scotians have loved for decades. It is just that special stir fry treatment
that we give our vegetables and that distinctive beef marinade that Maritimers come
back for again and again.
Our Chinese food is distinctively Far Eastern. As they say to us over and over again,
"You just can't get egg rolls like these anywhere". In fact, lonely Maritimers have been
known to airlift their own supply of Garden View egg rolls from as far away as
Vancouver!
For those who worry about fat and cholesterol. Be glad to know that we use only 100%
canola oil for cooking - that's the oil lowest in saturated fat and cholesterol, plus it's
sodium-free. Most dishes can also be made without MSG upon request.
Additionally, we have developed a menu for those of us with wheat sensitivities. Your
waiter can point out many more dishes to satisfy healthful appetites without sacrificing
taste.
Need special arrangements for a special occasion? In-House, we can accommodate
large parties in our function room and arrange traditional Chinese banquets for parties
of eight or more. A manager will work closely with you and our chef to select the
appropriate menu.
At the Garden View, we know it isn't enough to just open the doors; we have to earn
your business and keep on earning it every time you visit.
